Clifford Law Offices filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of the family of 14-year-old Sean Richards, who was killed at a Fuller's Car Wash in Hinsdale, Illinois, on July 17, 2023. The lawsuit alleges that the car wash was negligent and that a 16-year-old employee who was driving a vehicle at high speed, mistaking the gas for the brake, should not have been operating cars commercially. The car wash owner filed for bankruptcy in early 2025, which the victim's family claims was an attempt to avoid accountability and testimony in court, according to this WGN-TV article and this Chicago Sun-Times article
